Indiana works as a through route and a destination at the same time, and both show up in the price. Four interstates cross the state and meet at Indianapolis, while the metros themselves sit close enough to trade on the same lanes. Indianapolis is roughly 110 miles from Cincinnati, 115 from Louisville, 175 from Columbus and 185 from Chicago, and Fort Wayne, South Bend and Evansville each sit on or beside one of those roads. A carrier running I-65, I-69, I-70 or I-74 is already passing most Indiana addresses, so the truck that collects your car is usually one that was coming through anyway rather than one routed out to fetch it.
The exception is worth knowing before you book. Addresses away from those roads price differently, and in Indiana that mostly means the southeastern counties along the Ohio River set back from I-64 and I-65, and the farm country east of Indianapolis toward the state line.
